With Taijuan Walker now in the fold, the Arizona Diamondbacks could have a surplus to deal from with their starting pitcher.
The team expects trade interest in its young starters to increase, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports, citing sources. Among the names that could receive attention are Archie Bradley, Patrick Corbin, Shelby Miller and Robbie Ray.
Of course, Zack Greinke is still in the mix as Arizona's ace, although there has been chatter about him possibly be shopped this offseason. Also worth noting is top prospect Braden Shipley, who made his major-league debut last year.
Besides Ray, who made big strides in his strikeout percentage this year, none of these pitchers mentioned had great seasons in 2016, which means the Diamondbacks might not be in a rush to sell low.
