Right-hander Sonny Gray is not the only member of the Oakland Athletics drawing interest with the trade deadline one month away.

Rumor Central

Infielder Jed Lowrie, first baseman Yonder Alonso and relievers Sean Doolittle and Ryan Madson are on the radar of multiple teams, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The 33-year-old Lowrie, who has already been traded three times in his career, is enjoying one of his best seasons with a .287/.359/.486 slash line. His value is enhanced by a team-friendly contract that includes a $6.5 million base salary this season along with a $6 million option for 2018.

By moving Lowrie, the A's would open up a full-time spot for rookie Franklin Barreto, who could be sent back to the minors when regular shortstop Marcus Semien comes off the disabled list.

Slusser lists the Rangers, Cubs, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Braves and Astros as teams that have scouted Oakland in the past week.
