No. 18: Colin Baxter, C, Arizona

2009 numbers: Baxter, who's started 37 consecutive games, earned second-team All-Pac-10 honors in 2009.

Most recent ranking: Baxter wasn't ranked in our final Pac-10 top-30 list last year.

Making the case for Baxter: Baxter, one of six conference centers on the Remington Award watch list, was the anchor on a line that only allowed 13 sacks, which ranked 10th nationally. Phil Steele named him to his All-Pac-10 first team in 2009 and named him a preseason second-team All-American heading into this fall. Baxter was honorable mention All-Pac-10 in 2008 and earned a number of freshman All-American honors in 2007. A 6-foot-4, 295-pound senior, he was co-captain of the Wildcats last year and was voted Offensive MVP. Eleven of his 37 starts were at guard, so he obviously has some versatility.
