No. 18. Nick Foles, QB, Arizona
2011 numbers: Ranked fourth nationally in total offense and 28th overall in passing efficiency while throwing for 4,334 yards, 28 touchdowns, 14 interceptions and a 69.1 completion percentage. Led the Pac-12 with an average of 360.8 yards per game.
Preseason ranking: No. 7
Making the case for Foles: He improved on his 2010 numbers -- threw more touchdowns, raised his completion percentage and upped his passing efficiency. But also added more interceptions and fewer wins. A midseason coaching change created plenty of turmoil, but Foles was still one of the most consistent passers in the conference and country despite it all. And that says a lot given the quality of quarterback in the Pac-12 this past season. He threw for a season high 425 yards and four touchdowns in a narrow loss to USC, and tossed for more than 350 yards in nine of 12 games. Though he's not considered one of the top five quarterbacks in the draft, he still has plenty of NFL upside with a powerful, accurate arm and solid frame. He impressed at the Senior Bowl, and if he shows he can be more than just a shotgun passer, the 6-5, 244-pounder should find a home in The League.
