No. 19: Scott Crichton, DE, Oregon State
2013 numbers: Crichton finished with 7.5 sacks, 19 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles in his final year with the Beavers.
Preseason ranking: No. 10
Making the case for Crichton: The unquestioned leader of the Oregon State defense, Crichton joined Brandon Browner as the second defensive player in school history to declare early for the NFL draft. He leaves Corvallis ranked third all time in school history in tackles for loss (51) and fourth in sacks (22.5). After being named first-team All-Pac-12 as a sophomore in 2012, Chrichton was a second-team pick this season after finishing tied for eighth in the conference in sacks and third in tackles for loss. Mel Kiper Jr. projected him as a first-round pick in his initial mock draft.
