Breakout player: WR Bryce Bobo
2013 statistics: Redshirted
The case for Bobo: No one is going to come in and simply replace receiver Paul Richardson -- his kind of talent doesn't come along all that often. That hasn't stopped Bobo from trying. The redshirt freshman capped an impressive spring with a standout performance in the spring game, in which he made a pair of big catches late to lead his team to a win in the glorified scrimmage.
He finished the game with five catches for 132 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown, leaving Colorado fans encouraged heading into summer. The offense already figured to be in a good starting spot thanks to another year of development for quarterback Sefo Liufau and returning receivers Nelson Spruce and D.D. Goodson, but Bobo's development should ease any concerns about potential depth issues.
Bobo received a three-star grade as a recruit from ESPN.com and was the nation's No. 114-ranked receiver coming out of Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak.
