Georgia coach Kirby Smart lifts the College Football Playoff trophy for the second consecutive season. (0:37)

The Georgia Bulldogs have repeated as national champions. With a 65-7 thrashing of the TCU Horned Frogs in the College Football Playoff National Championship, Georgia is the first team since Alabama in 2011-12 to win consecutive titles.

UGA won in impressive fashion. According to ESPN Stats & Information research, Georgia earned the most lopsided win in a national title game in college football history. Quarterback Stetson Bennett capped his college career with 343 total yards and six total touchdowns in the game, and the Bulldogs' defense held TCU to 188 total yards and grabbed three turnovers.

With the dominant win, Georgia fans got to celebrate early. The Bulldogs' official Twitter account even sent out some victory trolling in the third quarter.

Trolling well before the third quarter was Blooper, the Atlanta Braves' mascot.

Some fans (not all of them) waited until the game was over to congratulate the Dawgs.
