Wiley, a 6-foot-9 center from Spain Park High School (Hoover, Alabama), has taken unofficial visits to Auburn in the past and was also expected to be on campus for a visit this weekend.
Wiley's parents both played at Auburn; his mother, Vickie Orr, earned multiple All-American honors and also played for the U.S. women's national team. His father, Aubrey, led the SEC in rebounding his senior year.
Wiley's final eight schools from August also included Alabama, Duke, Florida, Kansas, LSU, Mississippi State and UAB.
Ranked No. 38 in the ESPN 60 for the 2017 class, Wiley is the sixth ESPN-ranked prospect to commit to Auburn since Bruce Pearl was named coach after the 2013-14 season. In the seven years before Pearl taking over the Tigers, two ESPN-ranked prospects had committed out of high school.
Auburn isn't done in 2016 yet, as the Tigers were hosting elite big man Edrice Adebayo (No. 6 in the ESPN 100) for an unofficial visit this weekend. NC State has been considered the favorite for Adebayo, but the Tigers -- along with Kentucky, Missouri and others -- are squarely in the mix as well.
