Call of Duty League releases 2020 match schedule

The Call of Duty League released its match schedule for the inaugural Launch Weekend and the following 10 weeks of the season on Friday.

The opening weekend, which kicks off play for the league's first season, will be held Jan. 24-26 at the Minneapolis Armory. All 12 teams in the league will compete.

The historic Armory, which has been refurbished in recent years, once was the home of the Minneapolis Lakers.

Over the first weekend, there will be three matches on Jan. 24, and four each on the two following days.

Jan. 24 action features OpTic Gaming LA vs. the New York Subliners, the Florida Mutineers vs. the London Royal Ravens, and the Los Angeles Guerrillas vs. the Minnesota Rokkr.

On Jan. 25, the Seattle Surge will play the Toronto Ultra, the Dallas Empire will meet the Paris Legion, the Ultra will face the Atlanta FaZe, and the Mutineers and Rokkr will clash.

The final day of the opening weekend will feature FaZe vs. OpTic Gaming, Ultra vs. Rokkr, the Chicago Huntsmen vs. OpTic Gaming, and the Subliners vs. the Mutineers.

Following the opening weekend, competition will take place in the following locations:

Week 2: Feb. 8-9, London

Week 3: Feb. 22-23, Atlanta

Week 4: Feb 29-March 1, Paris

Week 5: March 6-8, Los Angeles

Week 6: March 14-15, New York

Week 7: March 21-22, Toronto

Week 8: March 28-29, Dallas

Week 9: April 4-5, Chicago

Week 10: April 11-12, Boca Raton, Florida

At least five matches will take place each weekend.

The remainder of the schedule will be announced at a later date. Championship Weekend is scheduled to start Aug. 9.

The 12 teams in the league will be playing for $6 million in prize money.
