G2 Esports announced the signing of Ardis "Ardiis" Svarenieks on Friday as the fourth member of their VALORANT roster.

Ardiis joins Óscar "Mixwell" Cañellas Colocho, Patryk "paTiTek" Fabrowski and Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi on the European squad. The org is now one starter away from a full team.

"I joined G2 because I just want to play with the best," Ardiis told ESPN. "My dream was to play for a top team one day, and I fought hard so that it could happen. With Mixwell as our captain I think he could lead us far with the experience and natural talent he has. Happy to see what the future holds for me with G2."

G2 were the first top-flight esports organization in Europe to make an entry into professional VALORANT, and have been very successful in Riot's other title, League of Legends, as the defending League of Legends European Championship winners and 2019 League of Legends World Championship finalists.

"VALORANT is a game everybody plays at the office," G2 Esports CEO Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez Santiago told ESPN. "All of us are hooked. VALORANT will be a Tier 1 title for us, and we will be world champions in it."

Ardiis boasts an average combat score of 247.8, with 0.84 kills per round and a 1.22 K/D/A across 231 rounds played in competition, according to VALORANT stats site vlr.gg. Ardiis formerly played with fish123 in Europe, racking up many tournament victories in Europe throughout the closed beta. Ardiis was also part of the team that took first prize in the Twitch Rivals: VALORANT Launch Showdown in the Europe No. 1 heat.

Ardiis had been previously accused of match-fixing and cheating allegations in VALORANT but was cleared after an investigation by Riot, he announced.
