Juventus set to sign Boca Juniors star Rodrigo Bentancur - Beppe Marotta

Rodrigo Bentancur is "almost certain" to become a Juventus player next season, general manager Beppe Marotta has said.

Juventus secured a €9.4 million buying right for the Uruguay midfielder as part of the deal that saw Carlos Tevez move to Boca Juniors just over a year ago.

That right expires next April -- together with similar options on Guido Vadala, Franco Cristaldo and Adrian Cubas -- and Marotta believes it is highly likely they will activate it.

"We've got a buying right on Bentancur as part of the sale of Tevez and almost certainly we will make use of it," he told Mediaset television.

"It will be a transfer that we do for the 2017-18 season."

Juve invested heavily in the transfer market this summer, signing Gonzalo Higuain, Miralem Pjanic and Marko Pjaca, although they recouped £89.3 million from the transfer of Paul Pogba to Manchester United.
