TOP STORY: Real Madrid 'agree' Lewandowski deal
The latest Galactico at the Bernabeu could be Robert Lewandowski; Real Madrid have already come to a private agreement with the Bayern Munich star, writes Spanish journalist Guillem Balague for AS.
The report says the Poland international's agent Cezary Kucharski made the trip with his client to Madrid for Bayern's Champions League semifinal against Atletico and met with Real Madrid director Jose Angel Sanchez.
The Bundesliga champions are in no rush to even entertain a sale, or for that matter a contract extension, as Lewandowski's current deal runs to 2019 and the player is seeking an astronomical wages of almost £300,000-per-week.
Any prospect of a deal seems remote as most of Bayern's options of a replacement are either not available for transfer or valued at close to £80m; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gonzalo Higuain, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Costa and Romelu Lukaku are the only feasible options of the same class as their current No. 9.
Man City close in on Gundogan
Manchester City are due to make Ilkay Gundogan their first signing of the Pep Guardiola era with an announcement expected soon of a £20 million deal for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder, according to The Independent.
Guardiola will likely use the 25-year-old as City's version of Thiago Alcantara or Sergio Busquets; the Spaniard is desperate for a ball player in deeper areas of the pitch and the current Etihad Stadium squad appears devoid of this type.
Gundogan will miss Euro 2016 after suffering a knee injury but such is his style that Guardiola apparently feels he will be worth the risk.
Chelsea pursue Rudiger
Negotiations in London have begun between new Roma signing Antonio Rudiger and Chelsea representatives regarding a £19.5m move to Stamford Bridge, reports Italian newspaper La Repubblica, which also states that 10 percent of the fee will go to former club Stuttgart.
The giallorossi only bought the German international this week, activating an option on the defender following a successful loan spell, though such is the bizarre nature of the calcio mercato that the 23-year-old might be moved on before Euro 2016 begins.
Kalidou Koulibaly has also been linked in recent weeks, though the Napoli defender would cost substantially more. The Blues may also include Charly Musonda in the deal, presumably on loan, though the Belgian youngster has already stated his preference is to remain with Real Betis after a successful loan.
Man United target Bordeuax sensation
It's becoming a trend in Manchester United's recruitment of late; the Red Devils plan to raid Ligue 1 once again for highly-rated teenage midfielder Adam Ounas, with The Mirror reporting contact has already been made for the 19-year-old.
Ounas could follow in the footsteps of Anthony Martial, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise since his big-money move from Monaco last summer, and might line up on the opposite flank to the French international.
With five goals and two assists in just 15 starts, the Bordeaux starlet dazzled on the right wing under both Willy Sagnol -- before he departed les Girondins in March -- and caretaker manager Ulrich Rame.

- Francesco Guidolin will prepare for his first full season in charge of Swansea by dipping into the Italian market for Palermo's Achraf Lazaar, though the South Wales Evening Post suggest they face stiff competition from Serie A sides Roma, Inter Milan and Sampdoria.
Lazaar endured a tough end to the season with injury and eventually lost his place with the Rosanero, but the Moroccan is highly rated and can operate anywhere along the left flank.
- Roma could be one of the main clubs to watch in the transfer window with La Repubblica reporting that a number of players are heading for the Stadio Olimpico exit as Luciano Spalletti looks to reshape his squad.
Iago Falque, William Vainqueur, Ervin Zukanovic, Leandro Castan and Vasilis Torosidis are on the market, while Roma have targeted Palermo playmaker Franco Vazquez, but will try to negotiate down the £19.5m price tag to conform with Financial Fair Play regulations.
