Luis Suarez's brother Diego gets Isidro Metapan trial

Diego Suarez, the younger brother of Barcelona star Luis Suarez, is trying his luck at El Salvador top division club Isidro Metapan this week with the hope of earning a contract.

Suarez, the youngest of the four Suarez brothers, was recommended by his other siblings, Paolo and Maximiliano, both of whom played for the side. Paolo has helped the club to the league title several times while Maximiliano did a brief stint before ending up at Universidad FC in the Dominican Republic.

Diego, 22 and 5-11, is a midfielder, who played last season for Huracan FC in Uruguay's first division. He has also played for Uruguay second-division sides Central Espanol, Villa Teresa and Miramar Misiones.

Metapan general manager Fredy Vega said that the final decision is up to coach Jorge "Zarco" Rodriguez.

"He was recommended by his brother, Paolo," Vega said. "'Zarco' knows that it is just a trial but is coming to watch him. And we don't sign any players without the approval of the coach."

This is Diego Suarez's second tryout outside of Uruguay with the first coming in 2012 at Deportes La Serena in Chile.
