Dijon have signed Algeria international Mehdi Abeid on a three-year contract.
The former Newcastle midfielder spent last season with Panathinaikos, scoring three goals in 23 appearances, but will now ply his trade in Ligue 1.

"He is a player with significant capabilities, he is excellent at winning the ball,'' said Dijon's head of recruitment Larcier Sebastian on the club's official website.
"He will bring power and technical quality in midfield.''
The 24-year-old has been capped twice by his country.
