Inter Milan midfielder Antonio Candreva has told Paris Saint-Germain's Marco Verratti to make a summer switch to the San Siro.
Verratti, 24, has regularly been linked with a move away from the French champions and Inter Milan, thanks to a recent cash injection by Suning Holdings Group, are thought to be one of the main candidates for his signature, along with Serie A rivals Juventus.
Candreva told Sport Mediaset he would advise Verratti to join him to return to Italy with Inter if given the chance.
"What would I say to Verratti? I would tell him to come here [to Inter], absolutely," said Candreva. "He is a player from another category with a lot of international experience.
"It is not just me saying that either -- everybody knows it."
Verratti faces a race against the clock to recover from a calf problem in order to face Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16 in a fortnight. PSG coach Unai Emery is confident the Azzurri star will be fit to face the Spanish champions.
"For the Barcelona match, Thiago [Motta] is suspended," Emery told journalists after the 4-0 Coupe de France win at Rennes. "I am looking forward to Marco and Javier [Pastore] being back though.
"For Marco, I believe he will be ready for it. He is working with the fitness staff but he is fine. We will try to utilise him before Barca, so that he finds a bit of rhythm."
Despite the speculation linking him with a move away from Parc des Princes, Verratti has a contract until 2021 and PSG will not be keen to let their star man leave.
