Africa's players have proved to be some of the major protagonists of the transfer window so far, and expect many more of the continent's top stars to move between now and the end of August.
In this feature, KweséESPN looks back over the last seven days and picks out the biggest or best done deals involving African players.
Victorien Angban: Chelsea still have a whole swathe of unwanted players to sell or loan out this summer, although one of them - Ivorian midfielder Angban - has already secured a move away from Stamford Bridge.
The international returns to Belgium with Waasland-Beveren, having already spent a campaign in the Jupiler League with Sint-Truiden.
The fate of Nathaniel Chalobah, Josh McEachran and Oriol Romeu - among others - demonstrates just how hard it is for young central midfielders to make it at Chelsea, and the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko - a player who might once have been an international teammate of Angban - is another obstacle in his path.
Obbi Oulare, the son of former Guinea international Souleymane Oulare, completed a move away from Watford, securing a loan move to Royal Antwerp.
He has experience of the Belgian top flight -- having spent time with Club Brugge and Zulte Waregem - although he's never truly been prolific.
At 6 ft 4, Oulare's qualities are easy to recognise, although with newly promoted Antwerp tipped for a testing campaign near the foot of the table, he'll be tested as he looks to lead the line for the would-be strugglers.
Their opening match of the season - a 0-0 draw against Anderlecht with Oulare playing 69 minutes - was an encouraging omen for the season ahead.
Bernard Mensah: Another youngster whose career hasn't quite gone to plan in the last few seasons is Ghana international Mensah.
The 22-year-old joined Atletico Madrid from Guimaraes in 2015, but he's only played eight league games in Spain - all on loan at Getafe - and is yet to get a look in for Diego Simeone's side.
Mensah was sent on loan to Kasimpasa last week, and he'll know that it's something of a make-or-break campaign.
Succeed in Turkey, and he may catch the eye of Simeone...and of Black Stars boss Kwesi Appiah.
Ismaila Sarr: One of the biggest deals of the last seven days saw Senegalese wonderkid swap Metz for Stade Rennais in a £15.2 million move.
The big talking point here wasn't - surprisingly - the fee, but the fact that Sarr reportedly turned down Barcelona in order to move to Rennes.
The wideman said that he felt it was too soon in his career to switch to the Spanish heavyweights, and backed his chances of blossoming in Brittany.
Only time will tell if he made the right move...
Aldo Kalulu's progress appears to have stalled at Olympique Lyonnais. The Franco-Rwandan frontman hasn't made the mark in the OL first team that we'd expected he would a year or two ago, and despite Les Gones' policy for promoting youngsters, Kalulu's been deemed surplus to requirements again.
He's secured a loan deal to Sochaux, moving to the Montbeliard-based club for a year, and while he didn't set the world alight in the top tier last season on loan at Stade Rennais - he failed to score in 10 - he has the quality to thrive in Ligue 2.
An opening goal on Friday night - in Sochaux's 2-0 victory over Bourg en Bresse Peronnas - was an ideal start.
