Real Madrid have completed the signing of Brahim Diaz from Manchester City for a reported fee of €15 million, the club announced on Sunday.
The midfielder has signed a six-and-a-half year deal that will run through 2025. He will undergo a medical on Monday morning and will be presented later in the day.
Brahim, who joined City as a 16-year-old from Malaga, turned down an improved contract offer to stay with the Premier League champions. Sources told ESPN FC that he had grown frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities.
He made just four appearances for City this season -- three in the Carabao Cup and one in the Community Shield -- with manager Pep Guardiola preferring to use more senior options in the Premier League and Champions League.
Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain had also been linked with the Spain Under-21 international, but Madrid won the race for his signature.
