Another thrilling evening of Euro 2024 action saw Albania grab a late equaliser to steal a draw against Croatia, leaving the latter bottom of the group with a game to go. Germany underlined their status as favourites with a 2-0 win over Hungary, courtesy goals from Jamal Musiala and Ilkay Gundogan, that saw them through to the last 16.

Scotland remained alive in the competition, earning a 1-1 draw against Switzerland with Xherdan Shaqiri scoring with a trademark stunner once again to cancel out Scott McTominay's opener.

ESPN's By The Numbers brings you best stats from all the Euro 2024 action on June 19:

Croatia 2-2 Albania

1

Albania's Klaus Gjasula becomes the first substitute player in the history of the Euro and FIFA World Cup combined to come off the bench and score a goal and an own goal in a match.

17

The match saw 17 shots on target, while only one group stage game on record (since 1980) at the Euros has seen more combined -- 22 in Croatia vs. England in 2004.

94

At 94 minutes and 23 seconds, Gjasula's goal to make it 2-2 was the latest equalising goal scored in UEFA European Championship history (excluding extra time).

4

There have been four own goals scored in 14 games at Euro 2024, double than the number scored in 64 games at the last World Cup.

Germany 2-0 Hungary

124

Toni Kroos completed 124 passes in Germany's win over Hungary, the second most on record by a midfielder in a UEFA European Championship game, behind only Xavi's 127 successful passes for Spain against Republic of Ireland at Euro 2012.

7

Germany have now scored 7 goals at Euro 2024, more than they have in the group stages at any other European Championship tournament. The last time they scored as many at a major tournament was the 2014 World Cup...which they won.

2

Germany's Jamal Musiala scored his second Euro goal at the age of 21 years, 3 months and 23 days. Only four players have done this younger -- Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ferenc Bene and Mikkel Damsgaard.

17

Wednesday's match was Manuel Neuer's 17th appearance at the UEFA European Championship, the joint-most among goalkeepers in the history of the competition (level with Gianluigi Buffon).

4

This was the fourth time that Germany won their first two games of a EURO (1980, 1996, 2012)... they won the tournament in 1980 and 1996, and finished third in 2012

Scotland 1-1 Switzerland

0.92xG, 5G

Xherdan Shaqiri's 5 goals at the Euros have been scored with an accumulated xG of 0.92. His latest strike against Scotland had an xG of 0.04. Since the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Shaqiri has scored 10 goals at the World Cup and Euros combined from an xG of 5.93. The difference between his goals and his xG is 4.07 - the greatest difference of any player in the World Cup and Euros in that span.

10

Shaqiri's 10 goals in major international tournaments are greater than that of Eusebio (9), Alan Shearer (9), Patrick Kluivert (8), Wayne Rooney (7), Raul (6), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (6).

1 and 10

Shaqiri, now plying his trade in the MLS with the Chicago Fire, became the first MLS player to score at the Euros. He also became the 10th different player to score in 3 or more editions of the Euros.

6

Shaqiri is the only European player to have scored in each of the last 6 major international tournaments (WC 2014, Euro 2016, WC 2018, Euro 2020, WC 2022, Euro 2024).
