A look at Aditi Ashok's remarkable 2016

Hero Women’s Indian Open

Aditi Ashok has had a sensational 2016. Scripting history after becoming the first Indian to win two consecutive titles in her first year on the Ladies European Tour, went on to be named as the Rookie of the year. In addition to being the youngest to tee off at the Rio Olympics, she also has a total of seven top-10 finishes for the year.

Here's a list of her best performances of the year:

Qatar Ladies Open

Aditi won her second Ladies European Tour title on November 26, finishing with a total of 15-under 273 after a 3-under 69 in round four.

Indian Open

Aditi became the first Indian woman to win a Ladies European Tour title earlier in November after winning the Women's Indian Open at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon. This win paved the way for her to enter the Ladies European Tour directly till the end of 2018.

Dubai Ladies Masters

Aditi shot a 6-under 210 to finish tied-3rd at the Ladies European Tour Dubai Masters at the Emirates Golf Club, UAE in December. Leading the scoreboard at one point during the second round, she finished just four strokes behind leader Shanshang Feng from China.

Spanish Ladies Open

Aditi was one shot clear of finishing in the top five at the Spanish Open in September. Aditi shot a total of 3-under 285 to finish sixth, her best finish of the year till then.

Xiamen International Ladies Open

Aditi secured her fourth consecutive top-10 finish after being tied-8th at the Xiamen International Open in China in October. She finished with a total of 6-under 282 and shot just three bogeys in the tournament.

Ladies European Masters

Post her Olympic campaign, Aditi went on to set up her first top-10 finish of the year at the Ladies European Masters in September. She finished tied-9th with a total of 7-under 281.

Rio Olympics

Aged 18, she was the youngest on the course, and competed with top-ranked professionals. Though she was impressive in her first round, finishing tied-7th, she dropped to tied-41st position at the end of the final round.
