England's Felicity Johnson carded a bogey-free round of 8-under-par to take a two-shot lead after the opening round of the LPGA's Vic Open in Victoria, Australia on Thursday.
Johnson birdied her opening two holes and carded a further six on her way to a flawless round of 65. She leads the second-placed trio of Canadian Anne-Catherine Tanguay, American Kim Kaufman and Australian Su Oh, who scored a hole-in-one at the par-3 15th.
A group of five players, American Alison Lee, Belgian Manon De Roey, Japan's Haru Nomura and South Korea's Yae Eun Hong, are a shot further back at 5 under.
British Open winner Georgia Hall is 3 under while defending champion Minjee Lee is two shots behind at 1 under after carding a round of 72.
In the men's event, which is held at the same time at the same venue, Australian James Nitties made nine successive birdies to equal a 10-year-old record held by Mark Calcavecchia, though is two strokes behind leader Nick Flanagan.
