Martin wants to spend more time with family

CAPE TOWN, South Africa -- The head of Southern Africa's professional golf tour quit his post on Wednesday.

Louis Martin, chief executive of the Sunshine Tour, said he would like to spend more time with his family.

Martin spent four years in charge of the Tour, which co-hosts two European Tour events on its summer leg.

Sunshine Tour chairman Johann Rupert said: "During Louis' term in office, Southern African golf went from strength to strength.

"We currently have five players in the top 50 in the world, three of whom are in the top 12.

"There are more Southern African players on the various
tours of the world than ever before. Louis Martin's contribution
will be missed and we wish him well."
