Last season the Kansas State Wildcats were picked to finish ninth in the Big 12. This year the early-season outlook was eighth place. Both times, Bruce Weber put together a team and a season that greatly exceeded those external expectations. Weber doesn't coach a glamorous style and the Wildcats have never been that kind of program, but in four of his six years in Manhattan, Weber has gotten them to the NCAA tournament.
