BERKELEY, Calif. -- California guard Tyrone Wallace will return for his senior season instead of entering the NBA draft.
Wallace announced his decision to stay at California on Thursday after talking with family, coaches and teammates. Wallace says he wants to earn his degree and is excited about what coach Cuonzo Martin is building.
Wallace was a first-team All-Pac-12 pick this season when he averaged 17.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. He was the only player to rank in the top five in the conference in all three categories.
Cal also announced that former Louisville assistant Wyking Jones has been hired for a spot on Martin's staff.
