CHARLOTTE -- Kentucky coach John Calipari said that he is not concerned about the eligibility of freshman Skal Labissiere.

The NCAA has yet to clear the Haitian big man and is reportedly looking into his relationship with his guardian, Gerald Hamilton.

"No, I've said it before there are probably 50 to 60 kids who went through it and there are probably 15 more going through it now,'' Calipari said Wednesday. "Last year we had five going through this at this stage, meaning our team. And so we're comfortable where this is for him right now. He's good."

Labissiere, ranked the No. 2 freshman in his class, moved to the United States after the earthquake in his native Haiti, settling in the Memphis area with Hamilton as his guardian. He played at two area high schools but after being ruled ineligible, he played for a team affiliated with Hamilton's nonprofit, Reach Your Dream Prep.

He is currently practicing with the team but until he is cleared by NCAA rule cannot participate in games. The Wildcats open on Nov. 13 against Albany.
