Diamondbacks bolster bullpen, acquire Robby Scott for cash

The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired left-hander Robby Scott from the Cincinnati Reds for cash, it was announced.

The 29-year-old Scott was claimed off waivers by the Reds from the Boston Red Sox in early December. But his stay with the club was short, as Cincinnati designated Scott for assignment on Dec. 21.

With Boston, Scott was 0-1 in nine relief appearances last season. He was 3-3 with a 1.36 ERA in 45 games for Triple-A Pawtucket.
