A heavyweight matchup between Junior dos Santos and Derrick Lewis will headline UFC Fight Night on March 9 in Wichita, Kansas.
ESPN confirmed the heavyweight bout, following an initial report by MMAJunkie.com. UFC Fight Night is scheduled to take place at INTRUST Bank Arena and air on ESPN+.
Dos Santos (20-5) is coming off a TKO victory against Tai Tuivasa at UFC Fight Night on Dec. 1 in Adelaide, Australia. The former heavyweight champ is 2-0 since returning from a six-month drug suspension. Despite the suspension, Dos Santos proved his innocence in the case, as it was determined his positive test was caused by a legal contaminated supplement.
Fighting out of American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida, dos Santos last fought for the UFC title in May 2017.
Lewis (21-6) will look to rebound from a submission loss to Daniel Cormier in a heavyweight title fight at UFC 230 on Nov. 3 at Madison Square Garden. The 33-year-old fought four times in 2018, accumulating a 3-1 record.
Cormier, the UFC's heavyweight champion, does not currently have a title defense booked.
