Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder enters COVID-19 protocols

Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder entered the NBA's health and safety protocols before Sunday's 126-106 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the team announced.

Assistant coach Alex Jensen served as the Jazz's acting head coach during the absence of Snyder, who is the league's 18th coach to enter health and safety protocols this season.

Reserve forward Danuel House Jr. also entered the protocols on Sunday.

The Jazz, who are in fourth place in the Western Conference, have lost 11 of their previous 13 games. Utah has dealt with a COVID-19 outbreak throughout their team and injuries to their two stars during the slump.

Guard Donovan Mitchell missed his seventh consecutive game due to a concussion. Center Rudy Gobert, who missed five games due to COVID-19, missed his fourth straight game due to a mild calf strain.
