ESPN to see biggest ever NFL live game schedule

NFL fans across Australia and New Zealand will see more content than ever before this season, with ESPN expanding its already robust National Football League game package to a new level.

Courtesy of a new long-term broadcast rights agreement between ESPN and the NFL -- which extends the partnership through to the 2032-33 season -- viewers will have exclusive access to over 120 matches aired live on ESPN, including all playoff games and the Super Bowl, as well as extensive digital streaming coverage and the return of NFL RedZone.

The new NFL season kicks off this Friday, Sep. 10 (AEST) with a matchup between defending Super Bowl champions Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Dallas Cowboys.

Where to watch

ESPN and ESPN2

In 2021-22 ESPN will deliver a minimum six live games each week, including Thursday Night Football, three Sunday afternoon games, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football.

Thursday night football, two Sunday afternoon games, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football will be available live weekly on ESPN or ESPN2.

In addition, ESPN will add its expert NFL analysis with its specially produced NFL Blitz shows.

These shows air leading into Thursday Night Football, as a preview to the weekend slate of games, and then again before Sunday Night Football, recapping all of the excitement from the Sunday afternoon games.

ESPN's renowned Monday Night Football team, including Steve Levy, Brian Griese and Louis Riddick, will call the NFL Super Bowl game for our fans in Australia and New Zealand.

Dedicated NFL Minis will also return to ESPN, with condensed 30-minute versions of NFL games available on ESPN platforms.

ESPN and ESPN2 are available via Foxtel, Kayo Sports, Fetch TV and SKY NZ.

ESPN App and ESPN.com.au

A selected Sunday afternoon NFL game (Monday AEST) will be available live each week on the ESPN App and ESPN.com.au.

The 2021-22 NFL season will also see the return of NFL RedZone to ESPN platforms in Australia and New Zealand.

A much-loved feature of NFL coverage, NFL RedZone provides whip-around coverage of every Sunday afternoon (Monday AEST) game throughout the regular season, ensuring local fans will not miss a single touchdown or key moment.

NFL RedZone will be available to stream each and every Monday (AEST) of the NFL season, live on the ESPN App.

This season will also see the addition of NFL Network content to ESPN.

A 24/7 stream of the NFL Network available through the ESPN App will launch sometime during the 2021-22 NFL season.
