Oilers re-sign Reasoner after trading him to Bruins

EDMONTON, Alberta -- The Edmonton Oilers evidently
wanted Marty Reasoner back in the fold.

Less than four months after trading Reasoner to the Boston
Bruins, the Oilers on Tuesday agreed to terms on a two-year, $1.9 million contract with the center.

On March 9, the Oilers dealt Reasoner to the Bruins in the
blockbuster trade for Sergei Samsonov. Reasoner had spent the
previous four seasons with Edmonton after being acquired from
the St. Louis Blues on July 1, 2001.

The 6-1, 200-pound Reasoner had a career-best 34 points -- 11
goals and 23 assists -- in 77 combined games with Edmonton and
Boston last season. All but eight of his points came with the
Oilers.
