Bill Zadick will take over as U.S. men's freestyle coach after Rio

Bill Zadick will take over as men's freestyle coach for the U.S. national wrestling team after the Rio Olympics in August.

USA Wrestling announced Wednesday that Zadick, a former Iowa Hawkeye who won a world championship in 2006, will succeed Bruce Burnett after the Olympics.

Burnett, the national team coach from 1992-2000, was rehired in 2014 after Zeke Jones left to become the coach at Arizona State.

Zadick, currently an assistant coach under Burnett, will become the fifth full-time national team coach. He says his goal will be to make the U.S. "the best wrestling nation in the world."
