Damian Lillard's golden summer continued in the most literal fashion: with his first career gold medal.
Team USA defeated France 87-82 to win the country's fourth straight Olympic gold in men's hoops. America now has 15 such gold medals compared to four combined among all other countries.

Ahead of the matchup, Lillard, the first Portland Trail Blazers player to win Olympic gold since Steve Smith in 2000, ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 11.2 points per game. He was among five Team USA players to average double-figuring scoring.

Going for gold wasn't the only highlight of Lillard's week. The six-time All-Star, who raps under the stage name "Dame D.O.L.L.A.," released his latest single 'The Juice' in anticipation of his fourth studio album later this month.

In the aforementioned single, D.O.L.L.A. paid homage to the late, great Kobe Bryant at the 2:48 mark with the line:
"Doing Kobe drills. Ease my mind. Hope I slowly heal."
He also shared a music video for the track's release.
When not producing music or representing his country, Lillard has spent the summer growing comfortable on the big screen.
In LeBron James' "Space Jam: A New Legacy," Lillard voices the character "Chronos." The robotic hooper is designed to bolster the Goon Squad in late-game situations as an ode to Lillard's clutch-time prowess.
The nod couldn't be more appropriate.
According to NBA Advanced Stats, Lillard led all players last season in clutch-time scoring -- or points in the game's final five minutes when the score is within five points. His 162 points marked the first time he led the league in clutch-time scoring. No other player has ranked within the top-ten in each of the last five seasons.
It's only natural Lillard played a role in the movie's soundtrack. The song "About That Time" also includes G-Eazy, P-Lo and White Dave.
If you'd like to hoop like "Chronos," Lillard has matters covered there, too. Just a few days prior to winning his first gold medal, he posed for Spalding's release of the Good Squad 'Glow' basketball.
There is truly no time like Dame Time.
