Indiana Fever guard Victoria Vivians has left the WNBA bubble in Bradenton, Florida, to consult with medical experts about her right knee and is out indefinitely.
Vivians, a member of Mississippi State's Women's Final Four teams in 2017 and 2018, was the No. 8 draft pick by the Fever in 2018. After averaging 8.9 points per game in her rookie season, she missed the 2019 WNBA season after tearing her right ACL while playing overseas.
She averaged eight points over her first three games this WNBA season before being injured Aug. 2 against Atlanta, but the Fever initially didn't think she would be out long. Vivians said the injury was related to her kneecap, and she returned to the court for games Aug. 9 and 11 but played limited minutes in both.
Vivians has missed the Fever's past two games, on Thursday and Saturday.
The Fever have signed former South Florida forward Alisia Jenkins. She played at South Florida from 2012 to 2016 and is the school's all-time leading rebounder (1,284).
