PHOENIX -- Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi is set to return from a fractured sternum on Sunday against the Los Angeles Sparks, the team announced on Friday.
Sunday will make it six weeks since Taurasi suffered the small fracture on May 16. The game against the Sparks will be her first since May 21 -- she played in two games after suffering the injury. She's played in just four games this season, averaging 15.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds.
The Mercury are 6-7 and have lost four of its last six.
Taurasi has spent the last two weeks working out her core and lifting in preparation for a possible return.
