The Connecticut Sun's Jasmine Thomas and Natisha Hiedeman announced on Wednesday morning that they are engaged.
"I'm so excited for forever with the love of my life!" Thomas wrote on Instagram, revealing that she said, "ABSOLUTELY!!" to Hiedeman when asked.
Connecticut coach Curt Miller said the team toasted the engagement with champagne after beating the New York Liberty 98-69 on Wednesday.

"Jas and Tisha are two of the greatest people I know," Miller said. "So, we celebrated their special engagement and wished them all the luck in the world on a lifetime of love and happiness."
The champagne toast came after the Sun's franchise-record 13th consecutive victory in which the couple combined to score 21 points in the win.
The Sun head into the 2021 playoffs -- which begin Sept. 23 -- as the No. 1 seed. They have a bye until the semifinals.
"Anytime you see that happen, you're excited for your teammates," Sun forward Jonquel Jones said. "It's something we just embrace in our team."
