Forward Taya Corosdale, a three-year starter for the Oregon State women's basketball team, has become the fourth Beavers player in the past week to enter the transfer portal.
Six-foot-3 Corosdale was Oregon State's leading rebounder last season, averaging 7.4 rebounds per game along with 7.3 points. She started the past two seasons and as a freshman in 2018-19. She redshirted the 2019-20 season due to injury.
Also entering the transfer portal this week from Oregon State were 6-6 Kennedy Brown and 6-5 Taylor Jones, both sophomores. Brown started 21 games and averaged 7.9 points and 6.3 rebounds, while Jones was limited to nine games because of injury.
A fourth Oregon State player, 6-0 freshman guard Greta Kampschroeder, entered the portal last week. She started 25 games in 2021-22, averaging 5.2 points and 2.5 rebounds.
Oregon State went 17-14 last season, losing in the WNIT quarterfinals to fellow Pac-12 team UCLA. The Beavers had made seven consecutive NCAA tournament appearances before that, including a run to the 2016 Final Four.
The Beavers are one of several women's programs that have had at least three players enter the transfer portal in recent weeks. Among the others are Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri and Oregon.
