Here's what's new on the Big 12 recruiting trail now that signing day is just a month away:

BAYLOR

Total commits: 20

ESPN 300 commits: 8

The latest: The Bears don't have many needs left with 20 commits already on board, but they're chasing a kicker and could flip Penn State commit Quinn Nordin. The top-10 rated kicker is taking his final official visit to Baylor right before signing day and is also considering Michigan.

IOWA STATE

Total commits: 17

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: Iowa State has a big recruiting weekend coming up with a long list of visitors. It's a big opportunity for Matt Campbell and his staff to show what the Cyclones are offering. Keep an eye on Michigan OLB Jalen Cochran, who has ISU up to No. 1 on his list, and Missouri commit OG Trystan Castillo.

KANSAS

Total commits: 12

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: Two-star RB Jawon Hamilton recently decommitted from Miami and is scheduled to take an official visit to Kansas later this month. UCF could end up being the front-runner for Hamilton, one of the top players in South Florida this season, but he's be an interesting take if he makes it up to Lawrence.

KANSAS STATE

Total commits: 12

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: Kansas State will have to fight to keep some of its commits on board in the next few weeks. Longtime DT commit Jordon Robertson was recently offered by Tennessee, and three-star OG Zack Shackelford is taking an official visit to Texas this weekend. Landing in-state DE Isaiahh Loudermilk would've helped, but he picked Wisconsin last week.

OKLAHOMA

Total commits: 15

ESPN 300 commits: 4

The latest: Oklahoma has some big names still on the board. ESPN 300 WR Quartney Davis picked up an offer from Oklahoma and will visit Norman soon. He recently backed out of his pledge to Texas A&M. DE Mark Jackson is considering doing the same, and OU would be the front-runner if Jackson reopens his recruitment.

OKLAHOMA STATE

Total commits: 18

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: The Cowboys plucked an early commitment out of Texas Tech's backyard in 2017 S Ty Thomas. The Lubbock Cooper defensive back is the nephew of former Texas Tech great Zach Thomas and had initially committed to Washington State during the season.

TCU

Total commits: 20

ESPN 300 commits: 4

The latest: TCU landed a big commitment on Saturday from four-star DT Ross Blacklock, who chose the Horned Frogs over Texas A&M and Houston at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Blacklock should develop into a huge 330-pound run stuffer in Gary Patterson's defense.

TEXAS

Total commits: 13

ESPN 300 commits: 2

The latest: Texas has its biggest recruiting weekend yet up next with most of top targets coming to campus. This is Charlie Strong's shot to win over a long list of ESPN 300 stars including S Brandon Jones, OLB Jeffrey McCulloch, DT Stephon Taylor, Oklahoma DT commit Chris Daniels and S Deontay Anderson.

TEXAS TECH

Total commits: 26

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: One Texas Tech commit who doesn't get much hype but could make an instant impact is four-star WR T.J. Vasher. The 6-foot-5 standout from Wichita Falls, Texas, is interested in also playing basketball at Texas Tech and is averaging 19.1 points and 9.8 rebounds as a senior. He's the kind of big outside target they didn't have in 2015.

WEST VIRGINIA

Total commits: 23

ESPN 300 commits: 1

The latest: The Mountaineers are in great shape with this class with nine commits already coming in as midyear enrollees. Among those already on campus will be four-star QB commit Cody Saunders, four-star WR Marcus Simms and three-star RB Kennedy McKoy, and 2015 three-star signee Jacquez Adams is joining the team after a year of prep school.
