Texas defensive lineman Sam Acho and Oklahoma safety Quinton Carter have been named to the AFCA Good Works Team, and were honored for their efforts on Tuesday.

Only 11 players nationally are selected for the team, and he's just the seventh Longhorn to be named to the team in its 19-year history.

Acho has helped his parents' mission work in Nigeria, including a trip this summer. Here's video of Acho talking about one of the incidents during the trip. He also helped do work with children in the community.

Carter works with children around Norman and Oklahoam City, several of whom surprised Carter with an appearance at Oklahoma's press conference on Tuesday. He also works with children in his hometown of Las Vegas.
