STILLWATER, Okla. -- Through the game's opening minutes, Kansas State looked like it was in for a blowout, trailing 14-0 and looking largely helpless.
That was last week.
And this week.
Both times, Kansas State rallied and took a 17-14 lead in the second quarter.
Oklahoma was the opponent last week, and this week, it's Oklahoma State. Collin Klein completed a 34-yard pass to Tramaine Thompson and pushed K-State into the red zone.
In goal-to-go situations this year, K-State has scored a touchdown on 21 of 22 possessions after Klein scored on a 4-yard run. That mark is the best in the FBS, and Oklahoma State couldn't do much to stop it.
The problem for K-State? After taking that 17-14 lead, it didn't score again in a 58-17 loss to Oklahoma.
We'll see if it's any different this time around.
