COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- It's pretty heartbreaking to see Cyrus Gray stuck on the sideline in a Texas A&M letter jacket, but his replacement, Ben Malena, is making it easy for Aggies fans to cheer up.

Malena carried twice on the drive for 14 yards, including a carry between the tackles that he nearly broke into the back level of the Longhorns' defense.

He hauled in a pass on a bootleg and dived for the pylon to put the Aggies up 7-0 after forcing Texas to go three-and-out on its first drive.

Playing without Gray may hurt the Aggies' offense in the long run, but on that opening drive, Malena was more than adequate.
