Justin Mascoll, the No. 14-ranked prospect in the class of 2018, is going to play college football for the national champions.
A 6-foot-4, 225-pound defensive end, Mascoll ended his recruitment Friday committing to Clemson over Alabama, Florida State and Georgia.

Mascoll's commitment to the national champion Tigers comes less than two weeks after he made an unofficial visit to Clemson with his family.
"I picked Clemson because I love the feel there and it felt like home," Mascoll said. "I trust the coaches and the people in the Clemson community, and I feel it's the best fit for me and my family."
Mascoll and No. 1-ranked quarterback Trevor Lawrence continue the Tigers' run of recruiting success in the state of Georgia. Clemson has signed at least two ESPN300 prospects from the Peach State in the past five classes dating back to 2013, including quarterback Deshaun Watson and five-star offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt.
Mascoll becomes the fifth ESPN Jr. 300 commitment for Clemson, joining Lawrence, No. 64 overall Josh Belk, No. 137 Derion Kendrick and No. 162 Mike Jones Jr. The Clemson commit list also includes linebacker Jake Venables, the son of Tigers defensive coordinator Brent Venables.
The Tigers remain in the hunt for No. 1 overall prospect Xavier Thomas, No. 6 Zamir White, No. 9 Patrick Surtain Jr., No. 29 Anthony Cook and No. 31 Stephon Wynn, among others.
Clemson has signed three straight top-10-ranked classes and hasn't finished outside the top 15 classes in the past five years. The Tigers are on track for a fourth straight top-10 class despite being slowed by small numbers in 2018 with as few as 12-14 scholarships expected to be available.
