Despite enrolling early and participating in spring practice, freshman running back DeSherrius Flowers will not be cleared for enrollment at Alabama this fall, per a release from the school on Wednesday.
Flowers, ranked No. 104 in the ESPN 300, is the latest Crimson Tide back to leave the program or fall to injury this offseason.
The list includes Altee Tenpenny, who transferred and has since enrolled at UNLV, Tyren Jones, who was dismissed from the program, and Bo Scarbrough, who tore his ACL during spring practice. That leaves Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake as the only two players with any real experience in Alabama's backfield.
Coach Nick Saban also announced Wednesday that sophomore cornerback Jonathan Cook is "no longer a member of the team."
Cook played in three games for the Tide last season.
