Florida State tight end Ryan Izzo will enter the 2018 NFL draft, the school announced Wednesday.
Izzo, a redshirt junior, had 20 catches for 317 yards and 3 touchdowns this season. He finished his career with 54 receptions and six touchdown grabs.
"After lots of thought and careful consideration, I have decided to forgo my senior season and chase my dream of playing in the NFL," Izzo said in a statement issued by the school. "I would like to thank Coach Jimbo [Fisher] and Coach [Tim] Brewster for giving me the opportunity to be a Seminole."
Both Fisher and Brewster, FSU's tight ends coach in 2017, left for Texas A&M prior to Florida State's bowl game. New coach Willie Taggart plans to install a new offensive scheme for 2018.
