Illinois quarterback Brandon Peters will not play in Saturday's game against Michigan, according to the school.
Peters, a graduate transfer who played for the Wolverines, left last week's loss to Minnesota when he hit the turf hard while being tackled in the first half.
He was replaced by Matt Robinson, who is expected to start against the Wolverines. Robinson, a redshirt freshman, was 15-for-29 for 125 yards against the Golden Gophers.
Peters has thrown for 797 yards with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions for the 2-3 Illini.
