After an exciting start to Week 1, with the Colorado Buffaloes holding on to beat North Dakota State, college football rolls on with a jam-packed Saturday slate. "College GameDay" kicked things off ahead of the Texas A&M Aggies' matchup with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Despite the Aggies coming out on top in their most recent meeting, extended history has favored the Irish. Notre Dame has won three of its five previous games against Texas A&M.
Aggies head coach Mike Elko will compete against his former Duke starting quarterback, Riley Leonard, who transferred to Notre Dame and hopes to make his mark early with the Fighting Irish. Last season with Duke, Leonard threw for 1,102 yards and three touchdowns. The season before that (2022), he had 20 passing touchdowns and 2,764 yards.
