Big Ten fall recruiting capsules

With another season about to start and fewer than six months until signing day, here's a look at how the Big Ten is faring on the recruiting trail.

Illinois Fighting Illini

Who they have: The Illini have five of their 12 commitments from inside the state, including their top commit, defensive end Tito Odenigbo. The coaching staff will be getting some help at receiver with Mike Dudek, Malik Turner and juco prospects Tyrin Stone-Davis and Geronimo Allison. Illinois loses four receivers after this season, so that was a big emphasis for the staff. To go along with the prospects on offense, Illinois has running back Matt Domer and quarterback Chayce Crouch. Getting transfer quarterback Wes Lunt from Oklahoma State provides more flexibility with that position, and Crouch will help with depth.
Who they want: Despite having Domer committed, Illinois is still targeting Florida running back Madre London. The three-star back is considering Illinois along with a few other Big Ten schools, but it is looking more likely that he lands at Michigan State. Linebacker Nile Sykes is another local prospect the staff would like to add to the class along with offensive linemen Nick Padla and Aaron Roberts. There are still plenty of other prospects on the board for Illinois.
Fall storyline: With the transfer of Lunt, Illinois' offense of the future could be high-powered. Loading up on other offensive weapons and offensive linemen will be key for the Illini going forward.
Bold prediction: Illinois ends up with a future standout at receiver from this class. Stone-Davis might become the go-to guy.
