Overwatch League announces 2020 schedule

The Overwatch League announced its 2020 schedule, which will begin with matches in New York and Dallas.

Next year's schedule is the first using a homestand model, as opposed to using Blizzard Arena in Burbank, California, for nearly all of the competition. Matches will be played in 20 cities around the world, starting Feb. 8 and running through the end of the regular season on Aug. 9.

Check out the full schedule here.

Each of the 20 teams in Overwatch League Season 3 will host at least two homestands, with the league being split into two conferences and four divisions: Atlantic North, Atlantic South, Pacific East and Pacific West.

Teams will play 28 matches, facing conference foes twice and nonconference opponents once.

Dallas is one of three franchises that will host five times, along with the Washington Justice and Guangzhou Charge.

The league has been testing the home model this season with the Dallas Fuel and Atlanta Reign hosting matches and the Los Angeles Valiant hosting games this weekend.

The Toronto Defiant announced Tuesday that their home will be Roy Thomson Hall, traditionally the home of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The venue has seating for about 2,600.
