Top 10 rookies for dynasty leagues

While a player's standing within an organization is crucial in terms of his fantasy football value, especially in the short term, talent usually trumps a player's situation when drafting for dynasty leagues.

The NFL is a constantly changing organism, and your strategy for dynasty leagues should be simple: Draft good players who will only get better. Do not draft strongly for position or situation. Below are my top 10 rookies for dynasty right now.

1. Todd Gurley, RB, St. Louis Rams

I'm usually in favor of building my dynasty teams with young receivers, but that doesn't hold true when there is a special running back like Gurley available. Gurley has a chance to be the best football player in this entire draft -- at any position -- and the Rams, with their huge offensive line problems, are not the greatest fit for him to have early success. Nonetheless, Jeff Fisher is known to feed featured backs with a lot of carries (think Eddie George). Gurley is outstanding after initial contact and causes a ton of missed tackles with his ability to quickly regain speed after shrugging off a linebacker or safety.
