Consistency, or the lack of it, was all the rage in Gameweek 34 of ESPN FC Premier Fantasy -- and we're not even at the end of it yet.
John Moss' decisions in the Leicester vs. West Ham match took centre stage, while Newcastle and Sunderland tore up the form book by winning and Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp took squad rotation close to the max by making 10 changes to the team that beat Dortmund in the Europa League.
Here's what else we gleaned from a Gameweek that won't be over until late Thursday night.
WEEKLY WONDERS
Many of the big scorers so far have the scope to add to their tallies as they're all due another match before GW34 is done.
Heurelho Gomes (£6.3m) is the highest scoring goalkeeper of the Gameweek so far with a 17-point performance for Watford at West Brom that included a clean sheet and two penalty saves.
It was the Hornets' first clean sheet since a GW27 goalless draw with Bournemouth and only the third in 14 league matches this year. However, a trip to West Ham on Wednesday will be a tougher test.
Newcastle's Jamaal Lascelles (£4.4m) lasted 90 minutes for only the sixth time this season, hitting 15 points from a goal and a clean sheet against Swansea. Perhaps fittingly for a Magpies' defender, he's scored more times (twice) than he's kept clean sheets -- this was his first. However, it will be a major surprise if he doubles his shut-out tally at home to Man City on Tuesday.
Teammate Andros Townsend (£6.3m) is the pick of the double fixture midfielders, recording 13 points from a goal and an assist. He's now scored 28 points in the last three Gameweeks.
Newcastle will do well to keep Sergio Aguero (£10.6m) quiet. His hat trick at Chelsea earned him 15 points and he now has 14 goals in 14 league matches in 2016.
Dele Alli (£7.4m) was the pick of the single fixture players this Gameweek. The Spurs man could have had a hat trick but still hit 16 points from a brace against Stoke that lifted him to third in the midfielders' chart. Harry Kane (£9.9m) also scored twice, to bring in an 11 point haul for the 49 percent of ESPN FC managers who own the Tottenham striker.
TEAMSHEET TALK
With home matches against Aston Villa and then Crystal Palace, Man United players looked like solid GW34 prospects.
But Louis Van Gaal threw everyone a curve ball by dropping two stalwarts -- Jesse Lingard (£6.4m) and Anthony Martial (£8.4m) -- for the 1-0 win that consigned Villa to the drop. The benching of Martial was particularly relevant as he's owned by just under 11 percent of ESPN FC Premier Fantasy managers.
On the upside, Van Gaal has stated that defenders Daley Blind (£6.5m) and Chris Smalling (£6.9m) will not be rotated as the season nears its completion -- something to factor in as United have a double Gameweek 37. With an FA Cup semifinal against United this weekend, Everton boss Roberto Martinez made six changes for the 1-1 draw at home to Southampton.
The big issue surrounded the benching of Romelu Lukaku (£9.6m), who missed his first league match all season. Owned by nearly a third of all managers, his absence hurt. Not far behind this blow came the resting of Ross Barkley (£7.7m), who is owned by 22.1 percent of bosses, while the in-form Aaron Lennon (£6.9m) didn't even make the bench due to a hamstring issue.
Our punt for the week, Man City's Samir Nasri (£6.5m), delivered with an assist in the win at Chelsea. But he is now out of the Newcastle match through injury and is a doubt ahead of the reduced, seven-fixture GW 35.
City's squad is looking strong again, however, as Kevin De Bruyne (£8.7m), Yaya Toure (£7.1m) and Fernandinho (£6.3m) all returned to the starting XI.
Calling Manuel Pellegrini's team each week is still a challenge as the Chilean needs to balance a desire to secure a top four finish with the demands of the Champions League semifinal first leg on April 26.
Liverpool's season now hinges on the Europa League and Klopp has made it clear that he will chop and change to an enormous degree if he so desires. The 10 changes he made for the 2-1 win at Bournemouth meant that only Roberto Firmino (£7.9m) retained his place from the Dortmund epic.
Their second GW34 fixture, against Everton, demands a stronger starting line-up, but the following week's match at home to Newcastle is likely to be another rotation-fest ahead of their Europa League semifinal first leg on April 28.
Liverpool are another with a double GW37. Taking advantage of it could be a very tough task indeed.
THE NUMBERS GAME
After their impressive 3-0 win at Norwich, a lot of the smart money is now on Sunderland to avoid the drop. As one of the seven teams involved in GW35, and with two home matches in GW37, Sam Allardyce's men suddenly look like attractive ESPN FC Premier Fantasy assets.
Four players in particular are catching the eye.
Jermain Defoe (£7.4m) has been the Black Cats' main man all season, scoring a third of all their goals. His pedigree explains his popularity -- he's owned by 9.3 percent of managers -- and his performance over the past four Gameweeks is testament to how important he is to Sunderland.
Defoe leads the team for goals (two) and shots inside the box (13), and he's also created three chances and put in a further three crosses.
Fabio Borini (£6.0m) scored on Saturday and has been very industrious over those same four fixtures, creating six chances, firing in eight crosses and recording nine shots in the area.
Elsewhere, midfielder Wahbi Khazri (£5.9m) is due an assist, having created eight chances, put in 18 crosses and taken 12 corners in the last four Gameweeks.
Another midfielder to keep an eye on is the clinical Duncan Watmore (£4.3m), who needed just one shot on goal to score against Norwich. Only 0.8 percent of ESPN FC managers currently own the winger, who has just returned from a two month injury lay-off and is now in the frame for a starting berth.
