PSG outcast Hatem Ben Arfa's cake celebrating a year without football

With competition for places rife and his relationship with the coach strained, Hatem Ben Arfa is well and truly out of favour at PSG and has been for some time.

Indeed, the 31-year-old winger made light of his lack of game time on Instagram by throwing himself a party to celebrate the one-year anniversary of his last competitive appearance.

Joyeux anniversaire à moi , 1 an de placard ça se fête 😅

"Happy birthday to me. One year without a game calls for a party!" Ben Arfa wrote.

His last outing came in a 4-0 win over third-tier Avranches in the Coupe de France in April of last year -- a game in which Ben Arfa actually scored two goals.

The former Marseille man has already confirmed that he'll leave PSG when his contract expires in the summer, but the real shame is the vast swathes of wasted time in between.
