Pablo Daniel Osvaldo may have played his last game for Inter Milan after being ordered to train alone by coach Roberto Mancini in light of his midweek transgression.
Osvaldo did not take part in training with the rest of the Nerazzurri squad on Thursday after the Serie A club responded to his verbal attack on Mauro Icardi and Mancini during Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Juventus in Turin.
Infuriated by Icardi's decision to take on a shot rather than pass to him, Osvaldo had to be restrained by Fredy Guarin as he raced angrily towards his teammate.
"Talk to Icardi -- he can't play football," Osvaldo then screamed towards Mancini on the bench after having allegedly insulted Icardi's mother directly to him, according to Ole.com.ar.
Osvaldo is now set to be fined by his club in addition to being dropped by Mancini, while it is increasingly likely they will try to offload the on-loan Southampton forward this winter.
Inter signed the controversial forward from the Saints last summer with an option to make the transfer permanent in July. He is unlikely still to be on their books by then, though, and he may now be sent back to the Premier League club, although they do not appear to have any intention of keeping him.
Boca Juniors have emerged as a possible suitor for the 28-year-old, who was born in Buenos Aires but represents Italy.
Earlier this season, Osvaldo incensed fans of his former club Roma with gestures he made to them after scoring in Inter's 4-2 defeat in the Eternal City. He was also dropped by Southampton for indiscipline while Roma sold him to the Saints after he repeatedly overstepped the mark while with them.
